To protect ankles and give support "WEAR" needed, the BDFW is offering athletic shoes to bleeding disorder and sickle cell patients in WA State! The BDFW knows how important it is for those with bleeding/blood disorders to have supportive and high-quality shoes that allow them to be active, safe and healthy. We also know that during this time, the cost of high-quality tennis shoes can be a burden for families.

We provide medical ID's for those with bleeding disorders AND sickle cell disease from our extensive catalog! Medical IDs can now be ordered through the BDFW website and all orders are certified by a medical provider to ensure the information is accurate! All medical IDs come with a 2 year warranty!

At the BDFW we fight for Access to care and health equity for ALL RARE DISEASES! We have a public affairs team that is constantly monitoring what is going on in health care in WA state, the BDFW fights both offensively and defensively for the right access to care.

Our backpacks and bleeders program is geared to help community members stay healthy and keep strong joints! We have monthly videos with PT Mark Krimmel from the Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders and Seattle Children’s hospital as well as support for families to get exercise gear or gym memberships based on their doctors recommendations. We also hold regular in person backpacks and bleeders events.
